Value for money, the room was spacious, cosy, well-equipped, and clean. The location was excellent, close to the city centre. The staff, especially our host Glen, went above and beyond to accommodate us when we had a family emergency and needed to stay longer. Highly recommended.

The only thing that could improve the breakfast offerings is adding a wider variety of fresh fruit options.

The Retreat Taupo was a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts like me. I had a blast hiking, skiing, and snorkeling in the area. The accommodation was top-notch, with free WiFi, air conditioning, and a beautiful garden. The sun terrace was the cherry on top!

Oh, how I loved the luxurious air conditioning and soundproofing, but I was just devastated by the lack of towels. I mean, who needs more than one shower each, right?

I absolutely loved the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel's decoration. The furnishings and colors reminded me of my own home, making me feel comfortable and at ease. The general areas were spacious and easy to navigate, perfect for senior people like myself. The hotel's accessibility was excellent, with ramps and elevators available to accommodate anyone with mobility issues. It was such a relief not having to worry about stairs or narrow doorways.

I would have appreciated if the children working there had organized some activities specifically tailored for senior people. It would have been nice to have a guided tour or a special event that catered to our interests and needs.

Even though our stay was amazing overall, there were a couple of minor issues. The property seemed a bit run down and in need of some maintenance.

The location of the hotel is excellent, being close to town and with easy access to parking. The spacious lounge and fully equipped kitchen provide convenience for guests. The hotel also offers plenty of towels and air conditioning to ensure a comfortable stay.

The TV set up and blankets could use an upgrade, and it would be beneficial to have a dryer during the winter season. Additionally, the hot water runs out quickly and the dishes need to be cleaned before using.

The host was fantastic at communication, making everything a breeze. The key setup was convenient for arriving at any time, and the location was great for easy trips into town. The spacious and well-equipped villa provided excellent value for money.
